Chashu Xiaozhi Fang is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) formulation composed of a blend of herbal ingredients, including tea tree root, Atractylodes lancea, Gynostemma pentaphyllum, Ilex rotunda, Alisma orientalis, lotus leaf, hawthorn, and water hyacinth seed. This formulation is designed for weight loss and fat reduction. It is purported to exert its effects by clearing heat, detoxifying, promoting blood circulation, regulating menstruation, inducing diuresis, reducing swelling, regulating water metabolism, and facilitating the excretion of excess fat. Preclinical studies have investigated its efficacy in animal models of obesity induced by high-fat, high-fructose, and high-cholesterol diets.
