Overview

**chCE7** is a chimeric monoclonal antibody that specifically targets the human L1-cell adhesion molecule (L1-CAM), which is highly expressed in certain cancers including ovarian carcinoma, neuroblastoma, and renal cell carcinoma[2][3][5]. The antibody can be formulated as an aglycosylated variant known as chCE7agl, often conjugated with DOTA and labeled with the radioisotope lutetium-177 (^177Lu) for radioimmunotherapy applications[1][2][4]. The mechanism of action involves binding to L1-CAM on tumor cells, exerting anti-proliferative effects and facilitating targeted delivery of therapeutic agents (such as ^177Lu) to cancer cells. Preclinical studies have shown tumor growth inhibition and increased survival in models of disseminated ovarian cancer[2].
