Overview

**CHI-936** is a standardized, cannabidiol-dominant cannabis extract formulated as an oral oil. It contains approximately 20 mg/mL cannabidiol and less than 1 mg/mL delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol, corresponding to an approximately 20:1 cannabidiol-to-tetrahydrocannabinol ratio. Developed by Spectrum Therapeutics, it was evaluated in a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled multiple-dose Phase 1 study in healthy participants, with twice-daily oral doses administered for 7 days. The clinical program identified pain, nausea, muscle spasticity, and epilepsy as intended therapeutic areas; however, this study primarily assessed safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics rather than clinical efficacy.
