Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Chidantong (also known as Chidan Maitong) is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) capsule developed by Jiangsu Chia Tai Tianqing Pharmaceutical. It is indicated for the treatment of atherosclerotic thrombotic cerebral infarction and ischemic stroke during the recovery phase, particularly for patients presenting with the 'blood stasis obstructing collaterals' pattern. The formulation is designed to promote blood circulation and resolve stasis to improve neurological outcomes. It has been evaluated in a Phase 3 randomized, double-blind clinical trial in China, where its efficacy and safety were compared against ginkgo leaf capsules in patients recovering from ischemic stroke.
