The membrane-bound cytokines are intended to provide localized stimulatory signals to the T cells, enhancing their persistence, expansion, and anti-tumor activity within the tumor microenvironment while minimizing systemic toxicity associated with soluble cytokines. This approach aims to improve the efficacy of cell therapies in treating malignancies, particularly B-cell cancers, by addressing the limitations of cytokine support and cell engineering efficiency.
