Overview

Chinese herbal medicine granules (CHMG) is a standardized polyherbal formulation developed by researchers at Heilongjiang University of Chinese Medicine. It is specifically investigated for its efficacy in treating infertility associated with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). In clinical trials, it is often administered in combination with letrozole, an aromatase inhibitor. The mechanism of CHMG is thought to involve the regulation of the hypothalamic-pituitary-ovarian (HPO) axis, reduction of insulin resistance, and improvement of the follicular microenvironment, thereby enhancing ovulation rates and live birth outcomes in anovulatory women. The formulation typically includes a mixture of traditional Chinese herbs such as *Cuscuta chinensis*, *Taxillus chinensis*, and *Lycium barbarum*.
