Overview

This Chinese Herbal Medicine (CHM) formulation is a proprietary blend of six herbs developed by researchers at Hong Kong Baptist University for the management of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM) and Metabolic Syndrome. Administered as oral granules, the treatment is designed to improve glycemic control, reduce blood pressure, and optimize lipid profiles. It is currently undergoing clinical evaluation in a pilot study to assess its feasibility, safety, and effectiveness in patients with comorbid T2DM and metabolic syndrome. The formulation is intended to provide a multi-target therapeutic approach to metabolic dysfunction, addressing both glucose metabolism and cardiovascular risk factors associated with metabolic syndrome.
