cHL2401 is a chimeric monoclonal antibody targeting Chemokine (C-X-C motif) ligand 1 (CXCL1). Developed by researchers at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, it is a humanized version of the murine antibody HL2401, featuring human constant domains and mouse variable domains to reduce anti-species immune responses. CXCL1 is a chemokine involved in tumor initiation, promotion, and progression, particularly in bladder cancer. cHL2401 acts by neutralizing CXCL1, thereby inhibiting tumor cell proliferation and angiogenesis. In preclinical studies, the antibody demonstrated significant inhibition of tube formation in HUVEC models and reduced tumor growth in bladder cancer xenograft models.
