Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SLVRGEN is a topical fixed-dose combination product developed by Bharat Biotech for wound care and burn management. It is formulated as a cream or gel containing three active ingredients: nepidermin (recombinant human epidermal growth factor, rhEGF), silver sulfadiazine, and chlorhexidine gluconate. Nepidermin acts as an agonist of the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR), stimulating cell proliferation, migration, and tissue regeneration to accelerate wound healing. Silver sulfadiazine and chlorhexidine gluconate provide broad-spectrum antimicrobial and antiseptic activity, preventing and treating infections at the wound site. This synergistic combination accelerates wound closure while protecting regenerating skin cells from silver toxicity.
