Overview

CHO-A04 is a humanized monoclonal antibody with an optimized Fc-glycan structure, designed to target SSEA-4 (stage-specific embryonic antigen-4), a glycosphingolipid highly expressed on various tumor cells and cancer stem cells. Elevated SSEA-4 expression is associated with tumor progression and chemotherapy resistance, making it an attractive therapeutic target in oncology. Empowered by CHOptimax technology, CHO-A04 demonstrates potent anti-tumor effects both in vitro and in vivo, as well as safety and tolerability in non-human primates. The drug candidate is currently at the IND-enabling stage for phase 1 clinical trials[1][2][3]. CHO-A04 was initially developed by Academia Sinica and further advanced by CHO Pharma. Its primary indication is for neoplasms (cancers), specifically targeting cancer stem cells expressing SSEA-4[1][2]. No brand or generic names are currently available.
