Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**CHO-V08** is an investigational bivalent prophylactic glycoconjugate vaccine developed by **CHO Pharma** to prevent infections caused by hypervirulent *Klebsiella pneumoniae* serotypes K1 and K2. It uses the company's bacterial glycan K-antigen platform and is designed to induce protective immune responses, including antibodies directed against the capsular polysaccharide antigens of these two serotypes. The vaccine is being evaluated for prevention of both nosocomial and community-acquired *K. pneumoniae* infection, with potential relevance to high-risk populations vulnerable to severe hospital-acquired infection and neonatal sepsis. A Phase I dose-finding study in healthy adults has completed vaccination and initial post-vaccination safety follow-up; immunogenicity and functional-antibody analyses remain under evaluation.
