Overview

Choline citrate is a small molecule nutritional agent and lipotropic agent that serves as a precursor to the neurotransmitter acetylcholine (ACh). Developed by Phönix Laboratorium GmbH, it is primarily used to stimulate gastrointestinal motility and is being evaluated in Phase 3 clinical trials for the treatment of postoperative intestinal atony following colorectal surgery.
