Overview

Chondrosamine is a combination pharmaceutical product developed and manufactured by Minskintercaps, primarily indicated for the treatment of osteoarthritis and other degenerative-dystrophic diseases of the joints and spine. The formulation contains two active ingredients: glucosamine hydrochloride and chondroitin sulfate. Glucosamine serves as a precursor for the synthesis of glycosaminoglycans and proteoglycans, which are essential components of articular cartilage and synovial fluid. Chondroitin sulfate acts as a chondroprotective agent by inhibiting catabolic enzymes such as hyaluronidase and matrix metalloproteinases that degrade the cartilage matrix, while also promoting the synthesis of collagen and proteoglycans by chondrocytes. Together, these components aim to stimulate cartilage regeneration, improve joint mobility, and reduce pain and inflammation associated with arthritic conditions.
