Chongcao Qingfei

Chongcao Qingfei (also known as Chongcao Qingfei Jiaonang or Capsule) is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) herbal formulation manufactured by Qinghai Pulante Pharmaceutical. It is an over-the-counter (OTC) product approved by China's State Food and Drug Administration (approval number Z20025121). The formulation contains multiple herbal and animal-derived ingredients, including Chinese Caterpillar Fungus (Cordyceps), Fructus Hippophae, Kadsura Longepedunculata, Stemona Root, Common Bletilla, Lily Bulb, Loquat Leaf, Liquorice Root, Oyster Shell, and Tokay Gecko. This herbal medicine is indicated for treating chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), chronic bronchitis, asthma, and respiratory symptoms associated with qi and yin deficiency, including cough, excessive phlegm, and chest tightness. As a traditional Chinese medicine formulation, it does not have a single active ingredient or defined biological target in the Western pharmaceutical sense, but rather works through the combined effects of its multiple herbal components.
