Overview

Chonglian oral liquid is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) hospital-made preparation developed by The First Affiliated Hospital of Anhui University of Chinese Medicine. It is specifically formulated for the treatment of influenza and associated fever, particularly targeting the "wind-heat attacking the lung" syndrome. The preparation is a complex mixture of herbal extracts, with its name derived from its two primary components: *Paris polyphylla* (Chonglou) and *Forsythia suspensa* (Lianqiao). These ingredients are traditionally utilized in TCM for their heat-clearing, detoxifying, and anti-inflammatory properties. The drug has been evaluated in clinical trials to assess its efficacy in reducing fever duration and alleviating respiratory symptoms in patients with influenza.
