Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Choreito is a traditional Japanese Kampo (herbal) medicine composed of five standardized ingredients: Polyporus sclerotium (Chorei), Poria sclerotium (Bukuryo), Alisma rhizome (Takusha), Talcum (Kasseki), and Donkey-hide glue (Askyo). It is widely used in Japan for the treatment of various urinary tract conditions, including lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS), bladder pain, and interstitial cystitis. The formula is characterized by its diuretic and anti-inflammatory properties, which help to alleviate micturition pain, residual urine sensation, and hematuria. Tsumura & Co is the primary developer and manufacturer of the standardized extract granules used in clinical practice and research in Japan.
