Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CHP-HER2 is a peptide-based cancer vaccine designed to stimulate the immune system against tumor cells expressing the HER-2/neu antigen. The vaccine consists of HER-2-derived peptides formulated with cholesteryl pullulan (CHP) as a delivery system. Vaccination with CHP-HER2 aims to induce both humoral and cytotoxic T-cell responses, leading to inhibition of tumor cell proliferation and direct tumor cell death in cancers that overexpress HER-2/neu, such as certain breast cancers[1]. It is administered subcutaneously and has been studied in combination with immunoadjuvants like OK-432 (Picibanil)[4].
