Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CHP-NY-ESO-1 is a cancer vaccine developed by the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research in collaboration with ImmunoFrontier. It consists of the recombinant protein NY-ESO-1, a highly immunogenic cancer/testis antigen, complexed with cholesterol-bearing hydrophobized pullulan (CHP). CHP serves as a nanoparticle-forming delivery vehicle that facilitates the uptake of the antigen by antigen-presenting cells, subsequently activating both CD4+ and CD8+ T-cell immune responses. The vaccine is primarily investigated for the treatment of advanced solid tumors, including melanoma and esophageal cancer, that express the NY-ESO-1 antigen.
