Chrono-Indocid

Chrono-Indocid is a chronotherapeutic, extended-release formulation of indomethacin, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). Developed and marketed by H.A.C. Pharma, it is designed to provide sustained release of the active ingredient, which is particularly beneficial for managing nocturnal and early morning symptoms of inflammatory conditions. The drug works by inhibiting the cyclooxygenase enzymes COX-1 and COX-2, leading to a reduction in prostaglandin synthesis. It is approved for the treatment of various rheumatological and inflammatory conditions, including rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, acute gout, and low-back pain, as well as for post-operative pain and primary dysmenorrhea.
