Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Chronvac-C is a therapeutic DNA vaccine developed for the treatment of chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection. It is designed to stimulate the patient's immune system, particularly T-cell responses, against HCV by encoding non-structural proteins from the virus. Chronvac-C was developed as an alternative to direct-acting antivirals, aiming to induce long-lasting immunity and viral control in patients with chronic hepatitis C. The vaccine was investigated in early-phase clinical trials but has not advanced to late-stage development or approval.
