Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Chrysanthemum indicum linne extract is a botanical extract from the flowers of *Chrysanthemum indicum* L., a traditional medicinal plant in Asia. It contains a wide spectrum of active compounds, including flavonoids (such as acacetin and luteolin), terpenoids, phenylpropanoids, phenolic acids, and essential oils[4]. The extract has been shown to possess several pharmacological activities, such as anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, anticancer, immunomodulatory, neuroprotective, hepatoprotective, and antimicrobial effects[4][3][2][1]. Mechanistically, it has been found to inhibit inflammatory mediators and signaling pathways (e.g., NF-kappaB, MAPK/ERK1/2, JNK) and to have anxiolytic effects, partly mediated by GABA-A and 5-HT1A receptors[1][3][2][4]. Traditional uses include treatment of inflammation, hypertension, neoplastic diseases, headache, and anxiety.
