Drug intelligence / Profile preview
GCWB106 (also known as BST106 or JoinSist) is a standardized botanical extract derived from the stems and leaves of *Chrysanthemum zawadskii var. latilobum* (commonly known as Gujeolcho in Korea). Developed by GC Green Cross Wellbeing, it is designed to support joint and cartilage health. The extract contains active marker compounds such as linarin, chlorogenic acid, and isochlorogenic acid. GCWB106 exerts anti-inflammatory and chondroprotective effects by downregulating extracellular matrix (ECM)-degrading enzymes (such as matrix metalloproteinases MMP-1, MMP-3, and MMP-13) and suppressing pro-inflammatory cytokines (such as TNF-alpha and IL-1beta). It has received individually recognized health functional food ingredient approval from the South Korean Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) and New Dietary Ingredient (NDI) status from the US FDA for knee osteoarthritis and joint health.
