Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Chuanbei Qing is an oral solution containing a concentrate of magnesium sulfate, sodium sulfate, and potassium sulfate. It is developed for intestinal preparation before colonoscopy in adult patients. These salts act as osmotic laxatives, drawing water into the bowel to induce watery diarrhea, thereby cleansing the colon for a clear view during the procedure. The drug is being studied in clinical trials by Jichuan Pharmaceutical Group Co. LTD and Peking Union Hospital, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences.
