Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Chuanxiaokang Oral Solution is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation developed by the Hunan Provincial Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine for the treatment of pediatric bronchial asthma. It is specifically indicated for the 'cold wheezing' pattern (Han-Xiao) during acute attacks. The drug has been evaluated in a randomized, double-blind Phase III clinical trial in China, comparing its efficacy and safety to the Xiao Qinglong Mixture in children with mild to moderate bronchial asthma. The formulation is designed to relieve symptoms of wheezing and coughing by addressing the TCM-defined pathology of cold-phlegm obstruction in the lungs.
