Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Chufeng Yisun Decoction is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) herbal formulation developed and studied by the Eye Hospital of China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences. It is primarily indicated for the treatment and prevention of macular edema in patients who have undergone vitrectomy with silicone oil tamponade for proliferative diabetic retinopathy (PDR). The decoction is intended to reduce central macular thickness and improve visual acuity by addressing the underlying pathological changes associated with diabetic eye disease and post-surgical inflammation. As a multi-herb decoction, its mechanism likely involves anti-inflammatory and microcirculation-improving properties.
