Overview
Chunyangzhengqi (Chunyang Zhengqi Jiaonang) is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) multi-herbal capsule formulation composed of seventeen herbal ingredients, including Pogostemon cablin (Guanghuoxiang), Pinellia ternata (Jiangbanxia), Aucklandia lappa (Tumuxiang), Citrus reticulata peel (Chenpi), Syzygium aromaticum (Dingxiang), Cinnamomum cassia bark (Rougui), Atractylodes lancea and Atractylodes macrocephala rhizomes, Poria cocos, among others. It is primarily used for the treatment of conditions such as cold and dampness during summer, abdominal pain with vomiting and diarrhea, chest and epigastric distension and pain, headache with aversion to cold, limb heaviness or soreness. The mechanism of action is based on TCM principles—dispelling wind-cold-dampness, harmonizing the stomach to stop vomiting/diarrhea—but specific molecular targets are not established in Western pharmacology[1][2].
