Chushi Zhiyang Mixture

Chushi Zhiyang Mixture is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) oral liquid formulation developed by Longhua Hospital, affiliated with the Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It is primarily indicated for the treatment of atopic dermatitis (AD), particularly in adolescent and adult populations. The mixture is formulated based on TCM principles to "remove dampness" and "relieve itching." Clinical research, including randomized controlled trials, has explored its effects on systemic immune markers and the gut-skin axis. Specifically, it has been shown to modulate serum levels of various cytokines such as IL-4, IL-31, IL-17, IL-23, TGF-β, IL-35, and IL-2, while also influencing the composition of the intestinal microflora.
