Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Cicalium Spray (brand name: Elgydium Clinic Cicalium Spray) is a topical oral care medical device developed by Pierre Fabre Oral Care for the treatment of mouth ulcers (aphthous stomatitis) and other oral lesions. The product contains a combination of active ingredients, including zinc gluconate and taurine, which provide anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and antibacterial properties to promote the natural healing of oral tissues. It also features polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) as a film-forming agent that creates a protective barrier over the oral mucosa. This barrier adheres to the inner walls of the mouth, providing immediate pain relief by shielding lesions from external irritants. Cicalium Spray is applied directly to oral lesions 3-4 times daily and is indicated for use in adults and children from four years of age, including pregnant women and diabetic patients.
