Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CID-103 is a fully human immunoglobulin G1 (IgG1) monoclonal antibody that targets the cell surface glycoprotein ADP-ribosyl cyclase 1 (CD38), which is highly expressed on certain tumor cells and immune cells. By binding to CD38, CID-103 induces antitumor effects through mechanisms such as antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC), stimulation of natural killer cells, and activation of T lymphocytes. It was engineered to recognize a unique epitope on CD38 with the aim of improving efficacy and safety compared to existing anti-CD38 antibodies. Preclinical studies have shown enhanced activity against malignancies expressing CD38 and a favorable safety profile. The drug is being developed primarily for chronic immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) and multiple myeloma[1][3][4][7].
