Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CIK (cytokine-induced killer) cell therapy is an adoptive immunotherapy developed by Ever Supreme Bio Technology. It consists of a heterogeneous population of ex-vivo expanded T-effector cells, primarily CD3+CD56+ cells, which possess both natural killer (NK) and T-cell properties. These cells are generated by expanding autologous or allogeneic peripheral blood mononuclear cells with a cocktail of cytokines, including interferon-gamma (IFN-γ), anti-CD3 antibodies, and interleukin-2 (IL-2). The therapy mediates non-MHC-restricted anti-tumor cytotoxicity and involves CD16a modulation. It is being developed for the treatment of various cancers (stages 1-3) and hematomas, and has reached IND approval status.
