Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Cildip 3D is a fixed-dose triple combination oral antihypertensive medication developed by Medley Pharmaceuticals. It contains three active ingredients: cilnidipine (a dual L-type and N-type calcium channel blocker), telmisartan (an angiotensin II receptor blocker), and chlorthalidone (a thiazide-like diuretic). This combination is approved for the treatment of stage II and refractory hypertension in adults when blood pressure cannot be adequately controlled with monotherapy or dual therapy. By targeting three distinct physiological pathways—vascular smooth muscle relaxation, renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system (RAAS) inhibition, and renal sodium/water excretion—Cildip 3D provides synergistic blood pressure reduction and reduces the risk of cardiovascular events such as stroke and myocardial infarction.
