Overview

CIN-101 is a preclinical-stage drug candidate developed by CinRx Pharma, a biotech accelerator based in Cincinnati. Initially announced in late 2017, CIN-101 was described as a locally sourced asset intended for the treatment of an unspecified dermatology indication. The drug was part of CinRx's hub-and-spoke development model, which involves acquiring promising early-stage compounds and advancing them through dedicated subsidiary companies (referred to as "CinCos"). While CinRx initially planned to file an Investigational New Drug (IND) application for CIN-101 in the first half of 2018, the candidate has not appeared in recent pipeline updates as of 2024. Current CinRx portfolio focus has shifted toward cardiovascular, metabolic, and gastrointestinal disorders through subsidiaries such as CinDome, CinPhloro, and CinFina. Consequently, the development of CIN-101 is considered inactive or discontinued.
