Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Cinainu is an investigational prescription botanical cutaneous solution developed by Legacy Healthcare for moderate-to-severe scalp alopecia areata, including paediatric patients. Previously designated LH-8 and coacillium, it is a multi-botanical extract mixture containing extracts of **Allium cepa**, **Citrus limon**, **Paullinia cupana**, and **Theobroma cacao**. The formulation is intended to modulate inflammatory and oxidative processes implicated in alopecia areata, including endothelial activation and hair-follicle cycling. In the phase 2/3 RAAINBOW trial, topical twice-daily Cinainu showed superior relative improvement in SALT score versus placebo at Week 24 in the predefined moderate-to-severe paediatric analysis population.
