Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Cinazin-D is a fixed-dose combination tablet containing cinnarizine (20 mg) and dimenhydrinate (40 mg), developed and marketed by Getz Pharma. It is indicated for the short-term, symptomatic treatment of vertigo of various causes, dizziness, motion sickness, and associated nausea and vomiting. Cinnarizine acts as a selective calcium channel blocker and antihistamine, primarily targeting the peripheral vestibular system to improve inner ear microcirculation and reduce vestibular overstimulation. Dimenhydrinate acts centrally as an antihistamine and anticholinergic agent, targeting the vestibular nuclei in the brainstem to suppress nausea and vomiting. Together, these two active ingredients provide a synergistic dual-action effect that is more effective than either monotherapy alone.
