Overview

Cinpanemab is a human-derived monoclonal antibody that binds preferentially to aggregated forms of extracellular α-synuclein. It was developed as a potential disease-modifying treatment for Parkinson's disease by targeting and neutralizing pathological α-synuclein aggregates implicated in the progression of the disease. Despite reaching Phase 2 clinical trials, cinpanemab did not demonstrate significant efficacy in slowing disease progression and its development was discontinued[1][2][4][5].
