Overview

Cioranib (CS055) is a novel, orally bioavailable multi-target kinase inhibitor developed by Chipscreen Biosciences and its innovative drug discovery arm, Chipscreen NewWay. It is designed to simultaneously inhibit several key pathways involved in tumor progression: Aurora B kinase (involved in cell mitosis), the VEGFR and PDGFR families (involved in angiogenesis), and c-Kit/CSF1R (involved in the tumor microenvironment and immune evasion). This multi-pronged approach aims to overcome resistance mechanisms common in monotherapy. Cioranib is currently in late-stage clinical development, with Phase 3 trials ongoing for small cell lung cancer and ovarian cancer, and Phase 2 trials for other solid tumors such as triple-negative breast cancer and liver cancer.
