Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Ciprocopan (also known as HSK39297 or NXP100) is an orally administered, highly potent, and selective small-molecule inhibitor of complement factor B (CFB), a key component of the alternative complement pathway. Developed by Haisco Pharmaceutical Group and licensed to Nuvectis Pharma for development outside Greater China, India, and certain Southeast Asian countries, ciprocopan blocks both the initiation of the alternative pathway and its amplification loop, thereby suppressing abnormal complement activation. In July 2026, ciprocopan received its first marketing approval from China's National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) for the treatment of adult patients with paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria (PNH) who are complement-inhibitor-naïve. It is administered once daily. Ciprocopan is also under clinical evaluation for other complement-mediated diseases, including IgA nephropathy and lupus nephritis.
