Overview
circ_0054633 siRNA is a small interfering RNA (siRNA) designed to target and knock down the expression of the circular RNA circ_0054633 (also known as hsa_circ_0054633). In preclinical models of diabetic kidney disease (DKD) and type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM), circ_0054633 expression is elevated. Treatment with circ_0054633 siRNA has been shown to inhibit high glucose-induced extracellular matrix (ECM) accumulation and cell proliferation in human renal mesangial cells in vitro, and to improve renal function and reduce renal fibrosis in db/db mice in vivo. This therapeutic effect is mediated through the regulation of the miR-136-5p/SMAD3 signaling pathway.
