circSLCO1B7 siRNA is an experimental small interfering RNA (siRNA) designed to silence the expression of the circular RNA circSLCO1B7. In hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), circSLCO1B7 has been identified as a tumor suppressor that is frequently downregulated in malignant tissues. It functions as a competitive endogenous RNA (ceRNA) by sponging miR-556-3p, which in turn upregulates the expression of the downstream target gene DAB2IP, thereby inhibiting the epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) and tumor metastasis. The siRNA is used in preclinical research to demonstrate that the loss of circSLCO1B7 promotes cell growth, migration, and invasion, validating the circRNA as a potential therapeutic target for HCC.
