Overview

Cisatracurium + sufentanil is a combination of two intravenous drugs commonly used in anesthesia. Cisatracurium is a non-depolarizing neuromuscular blocking agent of intermediate duration, used to induce skeletal muscle relaxation during surgery or mechanical ventilation by competitively antagonizing acetylcholine at nicotinic cholinergic receptors on the motor end-plate, resulting in paralysis of skeletal muscles[4][6][7]. Sufentanil is a potent synthetic opioid analgesic that acts primarily as an agonist at the mu-opioid receptor, providing profound analgesia and sedation; it is used as an adjunct to general anesthesia and for the management of severe acute pain[2][5]. The combination facilitates tracheal intubation, provides muscle relaxation for surgical procedures, and ensures adequate analgesia during operations requiring deep anesthesia. Both agents are administered intravenously under close medical supervision.
