Overview

This is a combination of four medications commonly used together in general anesthesia protocols: - **Cisatracurium besylate**: A non-depolarizing neuromuscular blocking agent (NMBA) with intermediate onset and duration of action. It is one of ten isomers of atracurium besylate (constituting approximately 15% of that mixture) and functions by blocking neuromuscular transmission at cholinergic receptors. It facilitates endotracheal intubation and provides skeletal muscle relaxation during surgery or mechanical ventilation. - **Propofol**: An intravenous anesthetic agent used for induction and maintenance of general anesthesia. - **Remifentanil**: A potent, short-acting synthetic opioid analgesic used during general anesthesia for pain control. - **Sevoflurane**: An inhalational anesthetic agent used for induction and maintenance of general anesthesia. This combination provides complete general anesthesia with hypnosis (propofol, sevoflurane), analgesia (remifentanil), and muscle relaxation (cisatracurium).
