Overview

A combination chemotherapy regimen consisting of cisplatin, fluorouracil, and lapatinib. Cisplatin is a platinum-based chemotherapy that forms DNA crosslinks disrupting cancer cell division. Lapatinib is a dual inhibitor of HER2 and epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) tyrosine kinases.
