This is a combination regimen consisting of three drugs: - **Cisplatin** is a platinum-based chemotherapy agent that forms DNA crosslinks, leading to apoptosis in rapidly dividing cells. - **Nab-paclitaxel** (nanoparticle albumin-bound paclitaxel) is a taxane-class chemotherapeutic delivered as an albumin-bound nanoparticle formulation, which stabilizes microtubules and inhibits cell division. - **Rituximab** is a chimeric monoclonal antibody targeting the CD20 antigen on B lymphocytes, resulting in B-cell depletion via immune-mediated mechanisms. This combination has been explored for use in various cancers. While cisplatin plus nab-paclitaxel regimens are established for non-small cell lung cancer and other solid tumors[1], and rituximab is standard for B-cell malignancies such as non-Hodgkin lymphoma[6][8][9], the specific triple combination of cisplatin + nab-paclitaxel + rituximab does not appear to be widely studied or approved as a single regimen. Each component has distinct mechanisms of action contributing to antineoplastic effects through cytotoxicity (cisplatin, nab-paclitaxel) and immunotherapy (rituximab).
