This is a combination chemotherapy regimen consisting of three agents: - **Cisplatin** is a platinum-based chemotherapeutic that forms DNA crosslinks and inhibits DNA synthesis and function, leading to apoptosis in rapidly dividing cells. - **Vinorelbine** is a semi-synthetic vinca alkaloid that acts as an anti-mitotic agent by inhibiting tubulin polymerization, thereby disrupting microtubule formation and arresting cell division at metaphase. - **Endostar** (recombinant human endostatin) is an angiogenesis inhibitor; it blocks the proliferation of endothelial cells by inhibiting vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF)-mediated pathways, thus suppressing tumor blood vessel formation. This combination has been studied primarily for the treatment of advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), where it has demonstrated improved objective response rates and survival compared to chemotherapy without Endostar. The addition of Endostar does not significantly increase toxicity compared to standard NP regimens[1][2][3][4].
