This is a combination regimen consisting of three drugs: - **Cisplatin** (a platinum-based chemotherapy agent that causes DNA crosslinking and apoptosis in rapidly dividing cells) - **Paclitaxel** (a taxane-class chemotherapy agent that stabilizes microtubules, inhibiting cell division) - **Trastuzumab** (a humanized monoclonal antibody targeting the extracellular domain of the human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 [HER2], blocking HER2 signaling and mediating antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity). This combination is used primarily for cancers that overexpress HER2, such as certain breast cancers and gastric/gastroesophageal junction adenocarcinomas. Trastuzumab specifically targets HER2-positive tumors, while cisplatin and paclitaxel provide broad cytotoxic activity. The regimen may be considered in clinical practice or trials for patients with advanced or metastatic HER2-positive cancers[4][5][6].
