Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A combination of cisplatin, a platinum-based chemotherapy agent, and pazopanib, a multi-tyrosine kinase inhibitor. This combination has been studied in clinical trials for patients with advanced solid tumors. The maximum tolerated dose was determined to be 400 mg of pazopanib and 75 mg/m² of cisplatin. However, significant pharmacokinetic interactions were observed, with pazopanib metabolism being affected by the cisplatin regimen, likely due to competitive inhibition by aprepitant, an antiemetic drug administered with cisplatin.
