**cisplatin-Ga nanodrug** is an investigational nanoparticle-based combination of cisplatin and gallium developed for platinum-resistant ovarian cancer. Cisplatin induces cytotoxic DNA damage through platinum-DNA adduct formation, while gallium disrupts iron-dependent biology and reduces the abundance of the m6A RNA demethylase ALKBH5. ALKBH5 downregulation increases m6A modification of DDIT4 RNA, promoting its degradation and increasing DNA damage and apoptosis in cisplatin-resistant ovarian cancer cell models.
