Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A combination therapy consisting of citalopram, a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI), and triiodothyronine (T3), a thyroid hormone. This combination is used as an augmentation strategy for treating depression, particularly in patients who have not responded adequately to SSRI treatment alone. The addition of T3 to citalopram may enhance antidepressant effects and lead to faster treatment response in some patients.
