Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CITIZIN is an ophthalmic nutraceutical developed by Bruschettini. It is formulated as an oral solution in single-dose sachets and is designed to support visual function and maintain the structural and functional integrity of retinal ganglion cells and photoreceptors. The primary active component of CITIZIN is citicoline (Cognizin), a metabolic precursor in the biosynthesis of phosphatidylcholine and other membrane phospholipids. CITIZIN is also enriched with vitamins A, C, E, B-complex vitamins (B1, B2, B6, B12, biotin), and blackcurrant extract, which collectively provide neuroprotective, antioxidant, and microcirculatory support. It is primarily used as a dietary supplement to manage ophthalmic conditions such as glaucoma and optic neuropathies.
