Drug intelligence / Profile preview
CitraNatal Rx is a prescription prenatal and postnatal multivitamin and mineral supplement developed by Mission Pharmacal Company. It is indicated to improve the nutritional status of women before conception, during pregnancy, and in the postnatal period for both lactating and non-lactating mothers. The formulation includes a comprehensive blend of vitamins (ascorbic acid, Vitamin D3, Vitamin E, thiamin, riboflavin, niacinamide, and Vitamin B6), minerals (calcium citrate, iodine, zinc, and copper), and folic acid. A key feature of the product is the Ferr-Ease patented dual-iron delivery system, which provides 27 mg of total iron through a combination of quick-release ferrous gluconate and slow-release carbonyl iron to optimize absorption and minimize gastrointestinal side effects.
